Introduction

Thanks to the generosity of our donors and sponsors, the annual Yee Hong Radiothon raised $170,000!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who tuned in and generously donated to the 2024 Yee Hong Radiothon, broadcast in partnership with Sing Tao A1 Chinese Radio on FM 91.9 and FM 100.7. We’re thrilled to announce that the fundraising total reached $170,000 — well beyond our $150,000 goal!

On November 14th, the 11-hour broadcast aired live from the lobby of our Scarborough Finch Centre. Yee Hong residents, families, clients, dedicated staff members and volunteers came together to share powerful stories of how our exceptional care has positively impacted countless lives.

The proceeds will go toward the construction of the new Yee Hong Ng Siu Chan Centre, which will add 224 long-term care beds to help address the urgent needs of geriatric care. The new facility is expected to be completed by 2026.

We would also like to extend our deepest gratitude to our event sponsors and supporters. Thank you for helping make this year’s Radiothon a success and for enabling Yee Hong to expand its impact in a new home where seniors can truly thrive.
