Lily Chen is currently the integrated VP, Finance and IT with St Joseph’s Health Center Guelph and St Joseph’s Life care Brantford. She provides the overall strategic vision and leadership for Finance, Information Systems, Communication and Technology Services (ICT), Nutrition Services, Environmental Services, Health Records, Decision Support, Purchasing and Materials Management. Lily also leads initiatives that optimize corporate performance by connecting services across the system, while ensuring that his/her respective teams provide a highly customer-oriented approach to all key stakeholders. Additionally, she acts as the Administrator of St. Joseph’s Housing Corporation which includes managing the contract with the property management company of the residences, overseeing the corporation’s finances, and acting as a resource for development opportunities. Lily also sits on the Finance working groups for the Guelph Wellington OHT and Brantford Brant OHT.
Prior to that, Lily held progressive leadership roles at Runnymede Healthcare Center and she was accountable for the organization’s financial and operational health in a broad portfolio encompassing finance, redevelopment planning support, organizational performance, decision support, supply chain, and registration.
Lily has been involved in various capital expansion projects to advance the “Campus of Care” model including the Runnymede Long Term Care redevelopment, and digital transformation initiatives including the health information system launch in collaboration with Humber River Hospital.
Additionally, Lily is committed to regional and system-level planning demonstrated through her participation in the System Evaluation Advisory Group with the Rehabilitative Care Alliance, and the North Western Toronto OHT Bundle Care Steering Committee.
Lily is a Chartered Professional Accountant and a Certified Health Executive. She has a Master of Business Administration with Distinction from Heriot-Watt University in the UK and has a Lean Healthcare Certificate.
Lily joined the Yee Hong Centre Board of Directors in June 2022 and is currently Chair of the Resources Committee.
